GBT technology allows us to eliminate dental biofilm in a painless way. This technique makes it possible to considerably reduce tooth sensitivity thanks to the new AirFlow Prophylaxis Master system from the Swiss company EMS-Dental. Which we have incorporated into our treatment catalog, at the beginning of March 2022.

Dental biofilm is an accumulation of bacteria around the teeth that, over time, turns into dental calculus or "tartar." These bacteria are the cause of dental cavities and gum inflammation. Furthermore, when they enter our body or release inflammatory products, they can be, at a distance, factors that favor other diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer's, premature birth, etc.

This new GBT technology begins with staining the dental biofilm to make it visible. The objective of this first step is to be able to see, very clearly, which are the areas where brushing can be improved in order to eliminate bacteria. This biofilm is then removed with a gentle "spray" of air and erythritol. Finally, the new Piezon PS ultrasounds and curettes eliminate already calcified bacteria.
