Sinus elevation

Sinus elevation

Sometimes, the quantity of bone available in the posterior area of the upper maxilla is not enough to place implants. When this occurs, we evualate the need of sinus lift techniques thanks to 3D technology, with a detailed study of a tridimensional radiograph of the maxilla of our patients.

A sinus lift consists in elevating the floor of the maxillary sinus, with an atraumatic technique with osteotomes or with a lateral window. The aim of this technique is to fill the floor of the sinus with new bone, so the implants and the fixed prosthesis can be placed after the healing.
