Study of snoring and apnea

Study of snoring and apnea

If during the initial visit we detect that you can suffer from sleep apnea we can do a study with a device that will be taken to your home to monitor sleep during the night. This device can detect 5 different signs while you sleep: respiratory flow, oximetry, heart rate, body position and snoring.

When analyzing the data collected in the computer we can make a detailed report of the snoring and the severity of the apnea and assess if you need any treatment.

The possible outcomes are: a postural treatment; an intraoral device that can be made by our apnea specialist; or in the event of having a severe degree of apnea, you may require a Hospital study and CPAP, a machine that pumps pressured air.

The intraoral device is comfortable to carry and eliminates the snoring that may bother the patient’s partner.
